Very very few. Most folks who work from home, run a business. Some sell on ebay. Some represent the various direct sales companies, some create their own products, and still others use wholesalers to supply their business. In all of these cases, there will be fees. Fees to buy products, fees to set up a website, fees to advertise, fees to join a direct sales company.
There are very very few employers who are willing to hire a complete stranger to work at home.
Check wahm.com daily. They post new telecommute jobs daily. Their listings include the position, the experience necessary, where to apply etc. These jobs gets thousands of applicants. If you have not recently brushed up your resume, now is the time to do it. Consider hiring someone to help you create a resume that will get you the job out of those thousands of applicants.
