Re: Why Do People Pretend They're Interested?!
I have found that it makes them feel at ease if I give them a choice. So I ask, do you see yourself as a customer or as a business builder. If they reply a business builder - then I give them my expectations and then ask them again if they are committed to building a business. If they can not meet my expectations, then I tell them I will consider them a happy customer until they can prove to me they are going to build a business. I tell them that if they give me 100%, they can expect 100% from me. However, I am not going to push or pull them into building THEIR business. I also remind them that I am happy to have them as a satisfied customer! This tells me where to focus my mentoring efforts!
