I burned my feet this Monday and I
have second and third degree burns on my toes and under my big toe and a
little bit on my stomach. Ouch!! I was cooking hashbrown potatoes ontop of
the stove in oil and I guess it only takes a minute for things to happen.
My pan caught on fire and I hesitated and I picked up the pan to try to put
it out (the fire grew) and I ended up dropping the pan and the oil
spilled all over the floor (on fire). My fire alarms went off and the house
was filled with smoke. I luckily got the fire out with a large wet bath towel. I
was lucky that the only things that burned was two spots on my floor and my
some of my toes and a little on my stomach (it went through my clothes).
Ontop of that, I had to go upstairs with my sore feet to get my three year
old out of bed. I called my husband at work and told him to come home right
away because I burned myself and I needed to go to the dr's. They've given
me pain meds and wrapped them real good. Again, I'll be okay!!
So I'm so thankful that someone was watching over me!!
