Measure into large buttered bowl
5 cups Kix
in bottom part of a double boiler, heat about 1 inch of water. Place in top part of boiler
26 caramels (8oz) and 2 tablespoons water.
Set over the boiling water until caramels are melted. Pour mixture over Kix and stir gently to coat cereal. Using spatula, turn caramel mixture into prepared pan and pat out with fingers lightly greased with butter, refrigerate until firm.
