If you like giving your child a choice at mealtime, but he seems to like the same thing day after day, picture menus are a great way to help them explore new options.
Pictures of your child's favorite foods and other foods
Index Cards
Glue
Magnet Clip
Plan several different meals that you know your child likes using pictures from magazines and grocery store advertisements. Glue pictures to Index Cards and hang them on a magnetic clip on the refrigerator. After your child chooses a meal he would like, move that card to a different location until the other cards have been used. Your child still has a choice, but there will be less monotony.
You can also make a little book with construction paper as well.
