I just wanted to check and see how many other Homeschooling moms are on the boards. :) Check in and tell a bit about yourself.
I am Jodi, mom to Amanda (13) and Jake (almost 11). We've homeschooled right from birth. Neither has ever been in a public or private school.

Jodi,
Over the years we did talk about homeschooling, but I never did. My kids both went through public school.
What activities outside of school are your kids involved in?

I homeschool my two boys, 8 and 7 (and autistic). It get really hectic sometimes - I'm divorced as well - but it is a labor of love for me.

Hi Audrey, well DD wants to get into tennis, DS wants to take up Karate. Neither really had any interests in "outside" stuff until recently.
But we get together every week at the park with other homeschoolers, both kids spend time at friends homes for various thing (movie nights, yu-gi-oh, etc.) Plus we go on field trips and such. Not a time, but enough that we don't get tired of being in the house all day. LOL
Hi Melos, yes I agree it can get hectic at times. But truly worth it! How long have you homeschooled?

Well, my boys have never been to actual school or any sort. I've been doing more structured homeschooling for about 3 years now. Before that... just the normal stuff you do with a preschooler - ABCs, 123s :)
I plan on homeschooling them throughout school.

I pulled my youngest daughter out of public school 1/2 way through 2nd grade. She is now 12.
Here is her intro on our forum.

I just can't imagine putting my kids into public school after homeschooling them for a while. I think it would be a huge shock - how monotonous and LONG a school day really is for other kids...
