Busy Day Cake
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 t. baking powder
3/4 cup milk
1 egg
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 t. salt
1/3 cup shortening
1 1/2 t. vanilla
Grease and lightly flour 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan. IN small mixing bowl, combine all ingredients. Beat with electric mixer until combined. Beat two minutes on medium speed. Pour into pan. Bake in oven at 375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until done. Cool. This is a great shortcake!
