Deliriously Delicious Shrimps with Nectarines
It's a recipe for 2...here goes..
16 large shrimps (de-shelled/de-veined)
1 sweet onion sliced
2 nice sized cloves of garlic (unless you wanna ward off the vampires)
Juice of half a lime
Lime peel(finely chopped for zest)
1 Jalapeno pepper (to spice up your life)
Red and yellow bellpeppers (sliced, just for added colour/texture)
2 nectarines (sliced)
Cilantro to garnish
White wine (for the oomph!)
Salt, pepper and a touch of sugar
Jasmine rice cooked with pinenuts
Takes only a few minutes from the pan to the plate, and what's on your dish can only be answered by your tastebuds. Let's get started:
1 Heat a pan with some olive oil and a lil' butter. Next stir in the
sliced onions, garlic and chopped lime peel.
2 Add in the shrimps. Then the salt, pepper and sugar.
3 As the shrimps start to cook, add in all the 3 coloured
peppers,followed by the sliced nectarines.(Keep the stir-fry
going to even out the cooking)
4 Now that the shrimps and all the other ingredients are looking
good, but not over-cooked,squeeze in the juice of half a lime.
4 Quickly now, add that dash of white wine and flame the pan by
tilting it toward the fire (be careful not to get caught in flames
during this dare-devil feat!)
5 From the pan to the plate, with the fragrant pinenut jasmine rice to
compliment, garnish the dish with the cilantro leaves.
6 Voila! Eat,enjoy and get delirious...bon appetit!
PS: don't forget the candlelights and a nice bottle of fruity white
to grace the meal. A toast to your good health...have fun!
