" I Can't Believe it's THAT Easy Candy "
1 cup sugar
2 sticks margarine
unsalted saltine crackers
1 12 oz bag chocolate chips
chopped nuts/or/slivered almonds
Line broiler pan with foil and arrange a layer of crackers in the bottom.
Melt butter,add sugar, and boil for THREE Minutes.
Pour over saltines and bake for FIVE Minutes @ 400 º .
Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over this...and put back into oven for about TWO minutes.
Remove and spread chocolate over crackers.
Sprinkle with nuts and kinda press them down.
Freeze over night...next day..remove from freezer..pull out of pan by foil..turn over and remove foil.
Break into pieces, store in airtight container.
HEY...put pan away..it is still CLEAN!
This is wonderful for Christmas baskets and gift baskets...and is so yummy.
* can use regular saltines..hey ...everyone knows how good salt and chocolate is ...
