Taffy Apple Salad
20 oz. can pineapple Tid Bits, drained and save juice
1 beaten egg
1 1/2 cups small marshmallows
1 1/2 T. flour
3 cups diced apples
1 (8oz) Cool Whip
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 T. white vinegar
Mix drained pineapple and marshmallows. Refrigerate overnight. Mix flour, pineapple juice, sugar, vinegar and egg. Cook over low heat stirring constantly until thick. Refrigerate overnight. Next day: Mix cool whip with cooked sauce. Add pineapple and marshmallows. Fold in apples and nuts. Doesn't have to be overnight, but it's best that way.
