Anyone hear about the baby....

That the lady put in the gas oven and turned it on? It happened the other day and she is 26. She put the 11 month old baby girl in the gas oven and turned it on. Her brother in law heard the little girl crying and followed the sound when he came into the house. He got the baby out and said she looked like a charred chicken. She had grease spots on her shirt.
Thankfully he found her. The mother has problems obviously and I do hope she never gets this little girl back again.
So many babies are being hurt and killed so needlessly, its pitiful.

The little girl will live they said but will need treatments for her burns.

It just makes me sick, what some people do to children. Ok, so my son drives me insane sometimes, but the type of person that could hurt a child that way... I will never understand that. (and never want to!)

I had not heard that - but I once along time ago,worked at a Gorup home for teen girls and there was one there that her mom tried to do that to her & her sister when they were little - and can you believe after years of counseling they put those kids back into the home!

As a Foster parent I have seen some horrible things - kids are experiencing things at early ages they should NEVER have to know exist - and the state just want re-unification of the families - is unreal what goes on in these homes and then the kids are put back in there !

Yes Tonja I know what you mean. This lady has been reported on before apparently 7 times they said but that baby was still left in her care. I dont' understand why they leave children in harm's way like this when they know the parent is unstable.
Why wait until its too late? But yet they always do. Its very sad.

I often wonder where folks come up with these things??? Where do these folks learn right and wrong from?

I have had a hard time taking away the computer from kids as the last thing I ever want to do is hurt them or cause them pain. They know I'm such a softie LOL.

I hate hearing about child abuse. It just sickens me. I'm glad that baby was found before something more permanent happened. I know all too well what can happen to a child who is left with abusive parents. I, too, am the softy who lets my kids get away with just about anything! Now I need to go hug them because that is what I always want to do when I learn of something like this.

It's always so sad & heart breaking when you hear of parents abusing their children like this- I just Can't imagine for the life of me- what makes them do such horrible things to their children- I know there are mentally ill people out in this world- but still- Our children are Gods' gift to us- for a while at least until they grow up & move out of the home & we still never stop being a parent at any age!

Yes there is far too much of this child abuse happening today. These babies never asked to be born and those parents who have them and don't want them should just give them up so they can have a good life with someone who will look after them and love them.

Watched Nancy Grace the other night and the things that people do to babies and children is horrendous today. Very sad and yet they keep giving these children back to the parents to abuse them again.

I think the system needs a complete overhaul and some of their rules should be changed to favor these kids instead of putting them back in harms way again.

I agree, those sort of thoughts are definately not normal. I would never think of doing something like that to my children or anybodys children for that matter! If only she had thought to do that to herself & finished the job.

When I hear of stories of abuse to kids I just want to get in my car and go and pick them up. If only I could scoop all of them up and bring them home to a house where they will be safe, loved and supported.

One person can not save the world but I wish I could be super mum to all of the kids out there who deserve a chance : (
