MILKY WAY CAKE
6 1 ½ oz. Milky Way candy bars
½ cup margarine
2 cups sugar
½ cup margarine, softened
4 eggs
2 ½ cups flour
½ tsp baking soda
1 ¼ cups buttermilk
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
1 ¾ cups sugar
1 cup evaporated milk
½ cup margarine
1 cup marshmallow crème
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Melt candy bars with ½ cup margarine in saucepan; mix well. Cream 2 cups sugar and ½ cup softened margarine in mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs. Add flour alternately with mixture of soda and buttermilk, mixing well after each addition. Stir in melted candy and pecans. Spoon into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until cake tests done. Combine 1 ¾ cups sugar and evaporated milk in saucepan. Cook to 234 to 240 degrees on candy thermometer, soft-ball stage. Add ½ cup margarine, marshmallow crème and chocolate chips; mix well. Cool to room temperature. Spread over cake.
