Hi, I am a new mom of a 5 month old and I was wondering when do they usually start to crawl and to talk? Sorry if it sounds silly but I am new at this and wanted to get some opinions.:)
Thank you.

Hi Diane,
I have four daughters, and they each crawled and talked at different ages. One of my daughters never crawled....she just dragged herself around with her forearms. It was so funny!! She looked like a soldier crawling under barbed wire. :D
Talking for each was different, as well, but right around 7 or 8 months they said mama and dada. My youngest talking the latest, as she had everyone at her beck and call--she had no need to speak, LOL.
I do remember that by five months, all my girls were sitting up and beginning to roll her and there, but not a full crawl as of yet.
Your son is a cutey, by the way.....I saw your picture on the boards over at Mommy's Helper Community. ;)

One of my kids never crawled. She rolled. Oh my gosh would we laugh...she'd roll across a whole room, but she never crawled. She went from crawling to walking.
My other dauhgter...I so don't remember the age....not helpful I know...but the crawling stage lasted such a short time before walking.

Thanks Sue and Audrey I appreciate the input. Everything is so new for us. We adopted him and I've waited my whole life for him.:)

Diane,
What a lucky little guy he is...and just to set your mind at ease...I had the best pediatrician in the world and he used to love to say "trust me when she walks down the wedding aisle....." I would ask "when will she talk?" and "when will she get teeth?" and..... LOL
