Social Networking and blogging=Traffic

Hi Everyone,

I am having really good success with my social networking driving traffic to my blog.

I make a point of logging into the various social networks that I am a member of, doing an updated and also having my rss feed displayed on my social network.

I found a new social network that is in the beta stage and they are sharing the revenue with members...you can check it out in my profile or on my blog...of course if you choose to join, I'd love it if you chose me! ;)

If you aren't social networking and linking your blog to it...you need to start!

I am wanting to ad the BlogRush from your blog site to my blog site. I noticed that your blog is with Google Blogger the same as mine. I know there is a difference between feed url and blog url. Can you advise me on how to find the feed url feed fpr my blog site?

Hi Lynn,

You can sign up with Feedburner to get a feed. After you login to your blog ckick on Settings >> Site Feed. Then click on the Feedburner link and sign up...it's free. Once you get your feed URL, copy and paste it in box "Post Feed Redirect URL". Your feed URL will look like this http : // feeds.feedburner.com / name of your blog

You should also add button/s or text on your blog so your visitors can subscribe to your feed.

Are you at Twitter or Friendfeed?

I have been using twitter but, I do not blast links. I do post a link if I make a new post. I do mostly general tweets.
Many times I get to find other great blog articles that are passed around. Then if they are really good & I have something to add I can comment.

I do use FriendFeed also. Some people find really cool stuff to post.

I use an RSS conv. so, all my profiles that allow Java and have my blog & forum feeds. They do get some hits.

Just an update to post. BlogRush is no longer active :-( It was really a great traffic tool. Thanks to all of you who joined with me.

Both Twitter and Facebook have really helped me drive traffic to my blog. I don't "blast" either one of them with promotional things from my blog...just a link when I post a new article. I try to have a great and enticing title to each of my articles that get people clicking such as,
I Just Got Paid $40 An Hour To Shop At Barnes & Noble! (http://www.mymochamoney.com/1156/i-just-got-paid-40-an-hour-to-shop-at-barnes-noble)

Did that make you want to click?

If not, how about, "Eat For Free On Your Birthday & More! (http://www.mymochamoney.com/744/eat-for-free-on-your-birthday-and-more/)"

So what I mean? Good article titles are all you need when posting on Twitter and Facebook. It works for me!

No that did not make me want to click. I really don't click the links of people that just plaster them all over.

If you blast your links on FriendFeed and Twitter like you did in this thread, glad I don't follow you.
