Soda/"pop"... do you allow it?

I cringe when I see people giving sodas to their kids... no joke, I have see a mother have it in a bottle for her daughter!!

Maybe it's just the way my own parents raised me... but we never had soda in our house and weren't exposed to it until we started school... even then it was only allowed as a special treat when we went out to dinner. Our "soda" allowed at home consisted of cranberry juice mixed with seltzer water lol

Do you drink soda yourself... and what are you're thoughts/concerns about introducing it to your little one?

I allow my kids to have it once in awhile. I don't really buy for home though. It's usually for when we go out to eat.
