I was looking the ads http://www.worldwideadtypist.com/ here and there for about 1 year. They had many franchisees in India too. I took it to be an old and reliable company. Joined it in Sept. last year, sent them the joining amount $85, but never got the confirmation of the payment made. They never replied the mails for enquiry. For 1-2 months the site was visible after that it disappeared. One can do nothing on the intenet. The owner must have terminated the old site keeping all the money and started any other to decieve more people. The address on the site was

Wow!! That is scarey. I hoped there weren't any scam artists out there, but I guess you can't trust everyone :(

Scarey... So many people get ripped off! Its sad because a lot of the people getting ripped off are in a bind already or they wouldn't be looking for something to earn extra money. Everyone, please check these businesses out with the BBB before you hand money over to anyone.

I thought about joining this company, but after researching them I found out that they did not deliver on their word. Sorry that you invested in them.

When I started my web design business I was really worried that people would pass me by because I am not affiliated with a big-name company. I have taken this to heart and have comments on my website to let people know that they can contact my clients for references. On the new website that will replace my current one (once I remove all the crafts) I will have a resume with references. I think a lot of people forget about that because they are not talking to a person. We can use this example in our own endeavors and remember to always be a person even in our online presence and businesses.

I am so sorry that has happened to you- I have been taken in by other people with scams & luckily the person doing the scamming was caught, taken to court & I even recieved a refund back of the $ I had invested. Thank goodness he was caught, I probably never would have recieved my refund back- if ever. Greatful I did. Teaches us to be more alert & a little wiser to such situations. I've alsp learned to check with the BBB about companies if I'm unsure of them or suspicious of them in any way.
