i have looked and looked and looked for a file that I just had a few weeks ago and I cannot find it anywhere. I feel like I'm losing my mind. I have looked in the same places over and over and I know about the 5th time I look in one of the "same" places... it will all of a sudden show up

I totally understand! Whether it's on the computer or a paper file, I try to be so organized, but something always ends up elsewhere.

I go through the same thing no matter how organized my files are. Of course it would help if I put the file back where they belonged in the 1st place. That's what I get for being in a hurry.

Organization is something I am NOT good at. I LOVE making lists of things - to do, to look up, marketing ideas, whatever... And then the lists all go bye-bye, or my sons steal them to draw pictures on.

I am a very organized person, but trust me - even when you are organized things get unorganized in your head and you can't find something until you have just about given up hope and then like Cyndi said - it appears suddenly - right where it should have been in the first place.
UGH!

You know it's just going to pop up right in front of you one day! :)

This sounds kinda hokey, but this is what I do. I imagine as vividly as I can what it will feel like when I find the lost object. I totally engage myself in the relief/happiness whatever and experience it fully. After I've done this for a couple of minutes, I mentally release it to the universe and trust that it will be found. Then, I forget about it. It works every time...
