Treat people the same way you want to be treated. Really. I cannot STAND when people try to sell me on stuff and are pushy. It turns me off. So, I am not pushy with people. Treat everyone the was you wish you would be treated!

I think you are right.You made a good point..No body likes to be pushed at all.When I get on the phone to make calls to my interested prospects for the insurance I ask them how I can help them.I am on the phone to make people feel comfortable with me.I will ask them how is your day and how is the weather or if I hear a baby crying I will ask how old...You got to know your do's and don'ts ! :)

Truly these words need to be repeated daily :) Over the years, both online and offline I have met and continue to meet those who believe anyone with two ears wants to listen to their sales pitch.

I have a hunch, you and I are very similiar. I am really sensitive to sales pitches. I hear them a mile away, and no matter how much sugar they are coated with, they still don't taste good LOL.

I totally agree, customer service is number one whether you are online or offline. Not everyone you meet will want to know about your business. I know I am on a great networking group but have had people pm me with the subject saying I would like to network with you then I open up the pm and its just their sales pitch talk about a total turn off!

Sales should truly be about what the customer needs, not about how much money we can make taking advantage of other people. People can really tell when we are genuinely interested in them and their needs. This is when they respond or at least remember you. Thanks for sharing such a great message!
