I don't know how I could function if I didn't have time to create or design something! I have four kids and spend most of my time at home while running 2 businesses! Chelbi's Creations (interior design/ event decor) and baby gear club (everything for babies)
My life is full and happy!

Hi Chelbi!

I think we were all created so differently and your creative side is one that sounds like you can't suppress or you wouldn't be "you".

Did you go to school for interior decorating or did you pick up ideas on your own.

Would love to see some of what you have done!

I couldn't agree more! I went through a stage in my life when my dc were small that I didn't do a lot of creating, except at the holidays, and I really missed it. Now I try to it in some form - either through painting or graphics, and I really need that time, just for me to express myself - for who I am - not as a mom or wife. Love creating - and now it's my business too! lol

I've been going through a rough patch - you know the feeling, like you never accomplish anything? It seems like I'm ALWAYS cleaning the house after my 2 babes and my husband. A friend told me that I need to get back into my crafting. I can do anything I put my mind to. So guess what I picked up? Sewing the Christmas stockings I never got to last year. At the rate I'm going I'll probably be done by next Christmas :-)

Hi Chelbi

It sounds like you have some great business! I was once going to get into Interior Decor/Event Decor but I just didn't think it would do well in my area. It seems a lot of people only do well if they have a degree in Interior Design. Unfortunetely the laws and requirements for ID in NJ are tough and it makes it difficult to want to persue it as a career. I would be curious to see some of your work as well. Best of luck!!!

Do any of you weave the basket sleeves that are made from vinyl siding material. A shop here used to sell them, but has since discontinued them. I heard they came from Ohio, but I can't seem to find them and they work wonderfully for outdoors.

Thanks,
