My 13 year old son woke me up this morning with his left shoulder all covered in blood. I of course freak, and he is laughing. It seems our kitten(10 months old) decided to have her first kitten on my sons shoulder while he was sleeping. So far 2 babies, and they are precious, but they look like preemies, so tiny. The 2nd one looks like his back legs did not develop enough so it is sliding everywhere. But what a mess on my sons bed, yuck. They have now been moved to the bathroom on a comfy old towel.

That would of freaked me out, if I woke up with blood all over me and then saw little kittens that look like mice when they are born.

Update on the kittens. She had a total of 5. But all have passed away except for the one with injured hind legs. It has been very sad. But 13 year old has been crying for 2 days.

New update on the kitten. She is doing find. Her hind legs have straighten and she walking all around, no longer crawling. When do their eyes finally open?

When do their eyes finally open?Kittens eyes usually open around 7 days.My cat had her kittens,which she had 5 all together.It is sad when they pass away,her last litter all but 2 died and it was hard on me and the family.Now the kittens that she does have are all okay.They are all over the place.How are is the kitten doing?Are you going to get the mother cat fixed after her milk dries?I am glad that the kitten is doing okay!

I too would've freaked if my child had blood on them. I'd hate to do that laundry though. I'm glad your kitten is doing better. Sometimes it seems those who have no chance of making it do better that those who have greater chances. Strange...

It's so hard when pets in the family die.

Wow, I didn't know cats could have kittens at 10 months old!
