Default Instant Doughnuts

Instant Doughnuts

1 or 2 Cans Refrigerator Biscuits
Watkins Original Grapeseed Oil
1/2 Cup Sugar
2 teas. Watkins Cinnamon
1/2 teas. Watkins Nutmeg
First of all, put 2 inches of oil in a heavy deep sided frying pan and heat on medium high heat till a small piece of dough sizzles in it. While the oil is heating up, whack open the can of biscuits and lay them on a hard surface, either a plate or a cutting board. Now, cut a quarter sized hole in the center of each biscuit. Use one of the the holes you cut from the biscuits to test the oil.... When little bubbles surround the hole and sizzle, the oil is ready! Now, gently slide 2 or 3 donuts into the hot grease being careful not to splash any on yourself. When one side of the donuts is golden brown, flip to the other side using metal tongs or a fork. Drain the donuts on paper towels and then put them in a paper bag containing the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Twist the bag tightly and SHAKE!!! You will now have some great tasting "homemade" donuts! Takes about 20 minutes to make... great for drop in company in the afternoon.... yummy with coffee or tea!

PS... don't forget to do the holes too... the kids will love them
