7-up Cake

3 sticks butter, 3 cups butter, 5 eggs, 1 tablespoon lemon floavoring, 3 cups cake flour, (you must use cake flour or the cake will come out very dry), 3/4 cup of 7-up soda. First cream together the butter and sugar until creamy, the add the eggs and mixing after each addition of the eggs, the mix in the cake flour mixing after the addition of each cup of cakr flour, the add the 1 tablespoon of lemon flavoring, mixing well, then add the 3/4 cup of 7-up soda, mixing very well for another minute or so. Bake at 350 degrees. (if using a gas oven bake at 300 degrees) for about 30 to 45 minutes. The cake will come out golden brown. Make sure not over bake or burn.
