Cinnamon Candy
CINNAMON CANDY
4 cups sugar
2 cups water
1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
1 tbs. red food coloring
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon oil (found at Kroger's in northeast texas)
Mix first 3 ingredients together, in large saucepan. Cook over meduim heat until mixture reaches hard crack stage on candy thermometer. (DO NOT STIR WHILE COOKING) Remove from heat add cinnamon oil and food coloring. Stir until stops bubbling. Pour on cookie sheet that has been generously sprinkled with powdered sugar. Let set until cool about 1 1/2 hours, break into pieces with the butt end of a butter knife. ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!
