Pre-heat your oven to 350

1 bag of frozen (cubed) hashbrowns
1 stick of butter (melted)
2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 small onion (cut into smaller pieces)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 small container of sour cream

In a large baking dish (I use my crockpot bowl usually) combine all ingredients. (You may choose to add more cheese to the top after mixing together before baking.)
Cook for 1 hour
