Scalloped Cabbage
Scalloped Cabbage
1 small head of cabbage
2 t. butter
2 t. flour
1 cup milk
1/2 t. salt
1/8 t. pepper
1/4 cup grated cheese
1 cup stuffing mix or buttered bread crumbs
Cut cabbage coarsely. Cook cabbage in water until almost tender; drain. Melt butter; add flour to make a smooth paste. Add milk and cook until thickened. Add salt, pepper and cheese, mix well. Place cabbage in greased baking dish. Pour cheese sauce over cabbage and top with stuffing mix. Bake at 350 degrees until bubbly and topping is browned.
