Chicken Souffle
Chicken Souffle
This is DELICIOUS!
Bake in a 9 x 13 pan
Ingredients
4 cups cooked chicken cut up
1 small can water chestnuts
1 small can mushrooms
slices of mozzarella cheese - enough to cover a 12 x 13 pan
4 eggs
2 cups milk
1 can cream of mushroom
1 can cream of celery soup
4 tablespoons of butter
2 cups bread crumbs
Line pan with slices of white bread (crusts removed)
Spread chicken or turkey over bread
Add on top of chicken:
- water chestnuts
- mushrooms
Dot with Margarine
Add slices of Mozarella cheese to cover the above
Beat eggs and mix with 2 cups milk, 1 can mushroom soup, and 1 can celery soup
Pour mixture over the mozzarella cheese and bake 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees.
Remove from oven. Melt 2 - 3 tablespoons of butter and mix with 2 cups bread crumbs.
Toss over chicken souffle and bake for 15 minutes more.
