Founded in 2000 by Karen and Curt Waisath, the Prayer Child Foundation is a 501(c)(3) that seeks to make a difference in the lives of children with physical and emotional challenges by providing financial support, opportunity for involvement to help others and a hope for a positive future.

The Prayer Child Foundation is managed by an all-volunteer staff, directed by Karen Waisath, President of the Foundation.
The Prayer Child Foundation seeks to minimize overhead costs by requesting donations in time and materials for the development of its collateral and fundraising programs. The all-volunteer staff keeps costs low, ensuring that 99% of funds received by the foundation go directly to the assistance of children in need.

Many children, by no fault of their own, are in need of help each and every day. Many of the children and their parents pray daily for a healthier life. The mission of the Prayer Child Foundation is to have a hand in answering their prayers and helping these children to have the joys of a normal childhood. The Foundation seeks to provide this assistance to living children that are eighteen years old and younger with physical and emotional challenges. The Foundation provides support to national children's charities, individuals and organizations located within our supporters' local communities. The Foundation provides opportunities for individuals, companies, and other groups to empower themselves by giving, getting involved with other like minded individuals and being compassionate to those less fortunate.

Each Candles for Kids candle is carefully designed using soft white wax poured into a beautiful glass, which represents the innocence and purity of the precious, deserving children for which the Prayer Child Foundation was built.
