O Henry Bars
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortning
1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c, oatmeal
12 oz. chocolate chips
1/2 c. peanut butter
10 x 15" pan 350 degrees 15 minutes
Mix first 5 ingredients together. Add Oatmeal. Press
into pan and bake for 15 minutes. When done, melt 12
oz. of chocolate chips and 1/2 c. peanut butter in top
of double boiler or in Microwave. Spread over the bars.
Refrigerate 10 or 15 minutes, then cut. Stores best if
kept in a refrigerator.
