Holiday Star Cookies

1/2 Cup Butter flavor Crisco All-Vegetable shortening
1 Cup Firmly packed light Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon Milk
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1/2 cup jif peanut butter
1 egg
1-1/3 Cups All purpose Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon of salt
Grandulated Sugar for Rolling
1 bag Brach's Chocolate stars
Heat oven to 350 degrees
Combine Crisco, light brown sugar, Milk and vanilla in bowl. Beat in jif peanut butter.Beat at medium speed of electric mixture until well blended. Beat egg into creamed mixture.
Combine flour, salt and baking soda. Mix into creamed mixture until just blended. Pinch off pieces of dough and roll into one inch balls. Roll the ball in sugar and place one inch apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10-13 minutes, until just starting to color. Remove from oven and quickly press ...Chocolate star firmly into the top of each cookie( cookie will crack around the edges). Remove to wire racks to cool completely.
