SO EASY APPLE PIE FILLING

Combine in a large kettle:
4 C. Sugar
1t. Nutmeg
1t. Salt
1 C. Cornstarch
3t. Cinnamon
Add 10 C. Water

Cook until thickened and add:
3T. Lemon Juice

Fill canning jars 1/3 full of sauce. Peel and slice apples into jars, pushing fruit down until jars are filled.

Close jars with HOT lids and process in boiling water bath for 20 minutes.

Yields 7 Quart jars
