Mom`s Chocolate-Peanut Butter Pie
1 pkg (9oz) chocolate wafer cookies, finely ground
1/2 butter melted
Mix together until well moistened, and press into bottom and sides of 10" spring form pan, coated lightly with cooking spray. Freeze for 15 minutes.
1 8 oz pkg cream cheese
1/2 c sugar
1 t. vanilla
Mix well on medium speed til fluffy.
Add: 1 c creamy peanut butter, mix well.
Fold in: 1 16 0z carton thawed whipped topping
until well blended.
Pour into pan and chill.
Melt over low heat until sugar is dissolved:
2 wrapped packages of semi sweet Bakers Chocolate squares
1/4 c sugar
2 T butter or marg.
Add 2 T white corn syrup
Cool slightly...then top chilled pie with this mixture...swirling your spoon to create a design of choice.
Chill 2 hours. Cut and serve
