Default Banana Split Cake

Banana Split Cake

This cake is made in layers so I have listed the ingredients you will need for each layer.
INGREDIENTS FOR FIRST LAYER:
4 c. graham cracker crumbs
2 sticks melted margarine or butter
INGREDIENTS FOR SECOND LAYER:
4 c. confectioners sugar
2 sticks melted margarine or butter
4 eggs, beaten
INGREDIENTS FOR THIRD LAYER:
2 large cans of crushed pineapple, drained well
INGREDIENTS FOR FOURTH LAYER:
6 to 8 large bananas, sliced
equal amounts of lemon juice and water
INGREDIENTS FOR FIFTH LAYER:
1 large container of Cool-Whip
Directions:
Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted margarine and press into bottom of 13x9x2 pan....set aside
Combine confectioners sugar, eggs, and melted margarine or butter in large mixing bowl. Beat at high speed on electric mixer for 10 minutes or until mixture thickens. Pour over graham cracker crust.....Set aside
Spoon drained crushed pineapple over filling in pan.
Dip sliced bananas into lemon juice and water mixture and then drain well...(this will keep the bananas from turning dark) Place sliced bananas over the pineapple layer in the pan.
Top the banana layer with the large container of Cool Whip making sure to cover all of the banana layer. Chill at least 8 hours or even better overnight. You can garnish this with cherries, chocolate syrup, nuts or whatever you like on your banana split....This is sooooo rich but sooooo good. Enjoy.
