5 cups milk
5 cups water
1/2 stick butter
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 (12 oz) pkg fidelini clusters or very fine egg noodles
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten

In large saucepan, combine milk, water, butter, salt and sugar. Bring to a boil and add noodles, crushing them by hand as you add them to hot milk. Simmer, stirring constantly, until noodles are cooked and most of liquid is absorbed. Gradually, add a little of the hot mixture to egg yolks, stirring to combine. Add to pot and mix well. Continue to cook a few more minutes without boiling. Pour into rimmed serving dish and sprinkle with cinnamon in a latice pattern. Chill and cut into squares to serve
