"Checks in the mail"

If I keep hearing that over and over again..going to scream!
Why do people place order with you and promise to pay and keep saying that the check is in the mail, when it really isn't. I have been waiting for a check for almost 5 months! Luckily, I don't ship until I get money,but still bothers me.

I just dealt with this same issue! What was worse was that it was my big corporate client who owed me for design work I had already completed. It took them 3 months to pay me. Grrrr!

It is sad, but I have been burned so many times that I do NOTHING without being paid first. It is especially dissappointing, I think, if it is another women cheating me

We not only get that but we get people who sign contracts and then when money is due say..."I'm not doing the business anymore." or "I have unexpected other expenses that have come up." and they think they don't then need to pay for what they have received or have comitted to. This type of behaviour, especially when coming from a work at home mom, gives all work at home moms a bad rap/name.

well, still waiting for that check.. she said it was mailed last week -whatever.

I am going to not hold it for her anymore, if I sell it, oh well.

How frustrating! People just don't think about how they affect someone else sometimes! Hope it comes soon!

I have had this happen with friends and family even. I'll pay you next time or some other excuse. I am getting tired of getting the run around. I fall for it every time. Several local businesses have also given me the run around. I am getting so tired of paying for stuff up front and then having people complain when it takes to long to be delivered. I am starting to not order the product until I have been paid. I have been burned a few too many times myself.

I think that saying should be outlawed!! If I had a dollar for everytime I heard that I would be RICH!!!!!!!

My dh has been burned a few times for completing the service ( w/shield repair) and then suddenly the customer is "a few dollars short"...UGH! I swear it makes me sooooooooo angry! You wouldn't get away w/it at a store!

oh my husband said the same thing to me. Or the promise over and over again to buy something from me. if i had even a dime from each time -I would be rich.
