Default Stuffing Envelopes

Yesterday I spent about 6 hours stuffing envelopes. I left my kids with my sister and set out to do it. I stuffed over a thousand envelopes and made.... A WHOPPING $25!! That's not even minimum wage. *sheesh*

Anyway, just thought I'd share. There are so many other EXCITING things going on for me that this just seemed like a waste of time and energy.

so if you do that for 7 days, that would be $150 a week, $600 a month. that seems to me to be a lot of envelopes

My sister called me today and told me that collectively, througout 2 days, so just over 1800 envelopes, I'm getting $60, so it's a LITTLE better.

This one was for a guy my sister knows- he owns a company that distributes stuff for companies.

This time it was 4 tickets (when we were making $.04 an envelope all 4 tickets were cut apart, but to save time they stopped cutting them apart and in turn dropped the price to $.025 per envelope), an invitation, and a pamphlet. THe catch was that the tickets and envelope had to have the same name and number on them.

Hello,

I always thought that stuffing envelopes was a scam. It seems that it is not true, since this appears to be a place for serious people and you are saying that you really made money doing it.

What is the company? I am retired, and for reasons that I'd preffer not to say, find myself practically locked into 4 walls without nothing to do.

I have tried a few things like making my own site, that is giving me nothing but expenses, and no returns, and an affiliate program, Nothing is working, and I am afraid that I'll have to stop this, then have nothing to do.

I'd go for stuffing envelopes, if it works.

Any specific company or place to call?

Thanks,

mindy22

Talking Re: Stuffing Envelopes

Hi Mindy & welcome to the forums. I don't know much about stuffing envelopes, although I have sent away for information in the past & not had real good responses. That's not to say that there aren't ligitament companies out there as far as stuffing envelopes go- they may be. I am a Designer with Home & Garden Party & love my job. There are lots of ads placed on line here at this website. Hope you'll find something that interests you & maybe you'll find a great job opportunity as well. God Bless.

I think this is not one of the "Stuffing envelopes" scams on the internet but you guys actually helping out a real business and being paid per piece for the actual stuffing?

In the internet scame envelope stuffing jobs, you only get paid if someone buys whatever the envelope is trying to sell. Those are direct mail comission work.

I'm not sure what it was, but the guy we stuffed for actually owned like a local place that was contracted to stuff envelopes. We only helped when he got overloaded w/ a new client. And a couple times since then.
