Why ask for information if you don't want it?
Why do people request information from me about starting their own business, make an appointment that they say is convenient for them and no show me? I don't get it. If you don't want the information-don't ask for it and if you change your mind why not let me know? I do have other things I can be doing with my kids and life. Geeze!

What about confirming the appointment with them? I'm wondering if they are getting the information before your scheduled appointment and not showing as their questions have already been answered?

Re: Why ask for information if you don't want it?
There is always a possibility that they already have the information, or even that they changed their minds. I really don't mind that they don't want or need the information. Really I'm not trying to pressure anyone or sell them on something. I'm trying to help them! And they asked me to help them. It's just frustrating I guess that they don't let me know they no longer need the information. As far as confirming appointments I do this if I schedule one more than a few days in advance but mostly I try to make appointments within a few days. Well, thanks for listening to my rant.

Because people are rude inconsiderate and don't take value on other peoples time. Sad but true its what a lot of the world is coming too. please know I don't feel its acceptable.

Hi Jessica! I TOTALLY understand your frustration!! My problem has become the follow-up calls...I have been stood up so many times on follow-ups I can't stand it!!
I did the "reply to confirm" method for a while, and then struggled to NOT call them if they didn't confirm!! But eventually, it gets easier -- remember, this is YOUR business and YOUR time, and you deserve for it to be respected.
How long have you been with TMT? That's what I'm doing, too...always glad to see another MOM-Teamer on the boards!

Re: Why ask for information if you don't want it?
I have gotten phone calls in the past from some very pushy folks. I have told them I am not interested in and they just keep going on and on and on.
I agree with Audrey....I would call them to confirm the appointment (doctors do this all the time) and if they don't confirm then move on.

Re: Why ask for information if you don't want it?
I know what you mean..mines somewhat similiar, but I had a request for information off of my site and the person gave me a non existent number and mailing address....why do that?I u nderstand that it does happen but come on already!!!!I mean what a complete waste of time on my end...I did learn something,I will call them before I mail out an info packet. The weird thing was, when I emailed her to confirm her information she said it was all good and that she would be watching the mail.....I should of called first...normally I would have but I just decided to mail her the packet and then I was going to call her in a few days...what a waste.

So you emailed them and said "is this right?" and they said yes? Then it wasn't? I have to say, I don't believe I've ever had that happen.

Re: Why ask for information if you don't want it?
Hmm like I said, I don't think I've ever had that happen. Did it happen only once? If so, email the person back. It's very possible their address is "1234" and they typed it "1324" the first time and when looking at it, said "yes that's right" and the postman didn't deliver it. If it's happened more than once, then I really don't have any ideas.
