Default Post Stealers

Ok..would love some opinions here. I just discovered that a gal has stolen at least two of my long posts and copied them to another forum, signing her name to them.

Had she emailed me and said "can I use it?" I would've said "yes, but please do give me credit". I think that's a really fair answer.

Instead she stole my posts, had the admin block me from entering the forum where she placed the posts and then signed her name to them. (there is no way for me to know what she told the admin to have the admin block me. For all I know the admin might be her mom, her sister, her best friend etc)

I know so many people on line that I was told about this and was actually able to see that indeed my posts were stolen.

What would you do?

That is just so wrong. If people only knew about this when dealing with this person for business purposes, they would probably not want to do business with her. I know I wouldn't, I would wonder what else this person would pull. Rather dishonest. I don't want to deal with people with a lack of ethics.

Valerie,

Good news, my posts are gone. I've been pretty vocal about how I feel on having my posts stolen. So far, nothing else has been stolen

That really sucks! I've been there and done that one too many times! Not stealing LOL, but having been taken from.

I've gotten posts taken and turned around, not exactly a complete post. I've had most of my ads copied. Not articles though. The thing is...I use a lot of what is supplied from training, etc... and then ad my very own twist to the mix and then next thing you know, BAM! I see my exact ad minus a word or two, somewhere else. I think what's important in trying to build a business, is to try and stand out a bit differently from the norm. I find I get more response to a more personal touch versus the same exact ads everyone else is using and such.

What's frusturating is that I wouldn't mind it all the much (it is a form of flattery) if someone would just send me an email asking if they can use it or part of it, as long as we are in the same opportunity. I don't mind sharing if it works. But we put so much effort into what we do to grow our businesses, that it really bites when someone does that kind of thing.

Okay that is my replied vent on that matter LOL!

Vicki

Vicki,

You and I agree 100%. I also would say yes in a heartbeat. It's the not asking and just taking, but what's worse is not even giving me credit.
