Re: Reverse prospecting
Most of what I'm getting these days are machines, meaning I answer my phone and a recorded message is there. I hang up. Under 2 seconds and the call is over.

Re: Reverse prospecting
I agree that this is a waste of time. Even if you try to start a conversation with them, most often they aren't interested in what you are offering. There is a certain networking company (coughDirectMatchescough) that seems to teach people this 'trick.' I have received literaly hundreds of these types of messages from folks - many in DM.
I try to teach my son, and my networking partners, honesty is the best policy. If you try to 'snow' someone they will ususallly sense it, or they will find out later anyway - and in both cases, you will lose face and the relationship.

This has recently become a huge marketing ploy as there are several companies which have lowered their costs and made it easier for the masses of hungrey marketers to use their systems. One of my upline partners wanted to do this (he, I, and some of my downline work as a team and pool our knowledge and resources), but I talked him out of it after my wife reminded me of the calls we started getting recently. Most annoying, and as Audrey pointed out - most people just hang up right away anyway. Reminds me of the telemarketers from a few years back who used to call right at dinner time.

Re: Reverse prospecting
I need to figure out why all of a sudden I'm getting more spam than usual. I'm being bombarded with "are you open....?"
What is sad, these emails never say "Hi Audrey" Ok, I'm not gonna answer spam anyway, but to copy and paste is beyond horrible.
