Small frustration with ins and outs of people
I am a rep with Jerky Direct and really love it. I have a great downline going and I addes my own training that I feel is really good besides our corporate training. I have so many that come in with the expectation that they will get rich. I do not give them this impression and in fact let them know from the very begininning that it will take hard work, determination, patience, and a vision to succeed. So I have a lady that has been in some previous businesses before , come in all ready to do the business and then quit right at her one month of being in the business. Then I just recently had another guy that has been in the business a few months and I have been working with him, trying to help him with my training, and he just canceled. I just get frustrated working with them and then they quit without even asking for help. I make it clear that it don't happen over night, they have to work at it and get out there. I do have a couple strong reps in my downline that make up for it thought, so I am staying positive with that.
I am still looking only for those that are right for my business and noone else. I just don't want those that seem right and then stray off, they take me off track a tad and waste my time.

Re: Small frustration with ins and outs of people
Hi there,
Have you ever started something and then decided you didn't like it? Maybe a craft or a t.v. show or a magazine?
It's not that you had different expectations or even unreal expectations, it just turns out you didn't like it.
Do you know why they quit? Do you know why they started? Those two answers might provide you more information into what went wrong.

Honestly you will have people that dont have the same goals as you do,just work with the ones that want to work.I agree with Audrey, find out why they quit,it could just be that the business wasnt a fit for them.

Re: Small frustration with ins and outs of people
I've been with a program called SFI for several years. The number one reason people have given me for dropping out is "don't understand the program." Not one of those people ever so much as asked ONE question.
While I totally agree that nothing is for everybody and we have all joined something only to find out we didn't like it after all, the people who dropped out of my down line really made no effort to understand.
Lisa, I don't know whether your downline really didn't try or just discovered this wasn't the bizopp for them, but there really isn't anything you can do either way except move on.
SFI has a very strict policy against contacting people after they have left. The only reason I know why they left is SFI added the question as part of the opt-out process. If Jerky Direct allows you to contact people after they have left it might be worth asking why they left. Otherwise, perhaps Jerkey Direct could do the same thing and add such a question as part of their opt-out process.
I totally agree that it is frustrating to have a new person come in all enthusiastic, you pour your energy into them, and then they just drop out without so much as a "thank you for your time but this ins't for me after all."

Re: Small frustration with ins and outs of people
Sandi,
There is a very different way to interpret what you've been told. Instead of "don't understand the program" you really could translate that to mean "it wasn't what I expected"
They didn't ask a question because they weren't looking for answers. For whatever reason they thought it was something different and when they discovered it wasn't what they thought, they leave saying they didn't understand.
Just a thought...

I think the answers are from a multiple choice list because the responses are always worded the same. Another common reason given is "not what I expected."

Re: Small frustration with ins and outs of people
I would say that if the person leaving really had a problem yet, wanted to stay in the business they would have.
A multiple choice question is a poor way of knowing the real answer. If it were me then I would just click anything to be done. Why would I care if I was leaving.
People come and go all the time just do not sit and dwell on it or you will not be ready to help the next person that really does want to work.
