Re: Is this Crazy Or What?
That really is unbelievable! Not just about the $800 in orders but the fact that they wasted her time! I agree. I would have told her the orders were placed and to please have them each call individually or something.

Re: Is this Crazy Or What?
IF it were me I would have kept about twenty percent of whatever they paid for my time and cancelation fee's. I can't imgaine doing that to someone. And I also am curious as to why all the women had one lady call to cancel. I would have called each one individually and told them they would have to pay a cancelation fee and to make sure they really wanted to cancel. Just my two cents worth.

Re: Is this Crazy Or What?
This makes no sense. Why would they even place the orders if they knew they were going to cancel? What a rotten thing to do.

Re: Is this Crazy Or What?
It is unbelieveable what some people will do, and think nothing of it! I have a teammate who went to do a show and the hostess wouldn't let her set up until she helped make the brownies. When the consulant tried to start the presentation, the hostess announced to the group, " Who wants to go to the park?" and the all left. On the way out the hostess asked the consultant to please lock the door on her way out after she packed! This hostess also said she only doesn these parties for fun, so I understand your pain!

I would not join any kind of organization that required me to compromise my integrity. Period. I think it is of extreme importance to be honest and respectful to everyone who joins my organization.

Re: Is this Crazy Or What?
Wow - I know there are inconsiderate people out there but this just blows me away. I also know there are even people that would like to think they are teaching the consultant a "lesson" by doing something like this. (They don't like home shows so they do something like this to discourage this consultant in the future) etc...
What is stunning to me is that all the people in attandance would walk out on the consultant like that as well. I would never, ever leave someone hanging out to dry like that - it's awful, not to mention mean-spirited. I have to believe in the "what goes around comes around" in cases like this.
Unfortunately, there are consultants in direct sales that should not be in business for themselves. Some are pushy, rude and simply not very professional. They go out and spread their unprofessionalism everywhere and it turns a lot of people off of direct sales in general. They believe all consultants must be like that and these stories are likely the result of that.
Frustrating and Disappointing!
My Best,

I'm sitting here just shaking my head now that I've been able to close my mouth. What a horrible experience (and horrible people if you ask me)
Ugh!

Re: Is this Crazy Or What?
It just hit me why this would happen.
I can't see this as just a night's entertainment, as someone said, it's just a waste of everyone's time...what happened (maybe) is...the HOSTESS saw her friends were going to order all this stuff, so maybe she signed up as a rep (without going through your friend as her upline) and SHE turned around and sold these items to her party friends so SHE would make the profit.
