Question Notifying customers of new catalog releases?

When your company changes over to a new catalog...

Do you send all of your past customers a new catalog automatically or do you send out a email or postcard mailing letting them know new catalogs are out and they can request one from you if they are interested?

How do you handle it when you switch over to a new catalog?

I personally like the idea of emailing and/or postcards to let them know there is a new catalog, and they may request one.

When I did Avon, I automatically gave it to those who ordered more regularly and then called the others, let them know and ask them if they'd like a new catalogue. I'd get higher sales with calling vs. sending out an e-mail.

I totally agree with you Joy! I get a better response by calling people or by handing out the catalogs compared to sending something via email.
