Internet Marketer from DownUnder (New Zealand)
My,not so interesting, <grin> life:
Born on a farm in the beautiful South Island of New Zealand, I made
a complete mess of my education, and left at 15 years of age totally
without qualification. A considerable problem for my parents who,
I am sure, visualised me living with them and sponging off them
for years to come.
However Dad found me a electrical apprenticeship and over the next
15 odd years I, as many others do, quietly progressed up the promotion
ladder until I was a project manager on major multi-discipline projects,
often with more than 100 staff working for me.
Even at that level of success, my income barely got above my family's
expenses, and eventually my wife took up work to pay for the fun
things in life.
Being made redundant during the 'Free market' economic downturn
in the 80's was quite a surprise!, and not a great experience, but in
the end my life really opened up from there! Sadly, redundancy
has become a fact of life for most workers, one or more times in
their career, and that realisation promoted me to take another path.
I started my own business's, mainly self employed, working out of
my home, initially in the electrical and computer fields. Loved! the
lifestyle improvements, but wasn't really my own boss, as my
customers controlled me, and my income, while much higher, was
still limited by the number of hours I could put in.
Happily that led me to a re-evaluation of what I wanted to achieve,
for myself, and for my family. Making good m0money is OK, but you
really need flexibility and control of your time to be able to enjoy it.
I was drawn to the potential and superb lifestyle, with it's characteristic
blend of high income, freedom, flexibility, and international portability,
that Internet based business's can provide if you are willing to learn
new skills, be very ethical at all times, develop and protect your online
reputation, take a long term and committed view of your business(s),
and to teach and support other online business people to do the same.
My success in the Internet Marketing, Affiliate and Networking
industries has allowed me to become, and to remain, totally debt free,
and has provided me with a raft of lifestyle choices I never had before.
I continue to work a number of online business's in a focused, but
part-time manner, providing leadership, training and mentoring skills
to my associates and business partners, and building a legacy to leave
behind
Wow! did I say a short background? Sorry, I should never have learned to
touch type <grin>
Now... why did I go to the trouble to tell you all this?
An ego trip for me? To 'sell you' on how great I am? What??
Well maybe <grin>. But I hope not!
Actually I'm doing so that we can get to know a little about each
other.
In anything we do, it's the relationships that count! Relationships
are the glue that binds us to the future. Our relationships are what
brings joy to our hearts, sometimes tears to our eyes. They are the
very breath of life. In this somewhat impersonal world of the Internet,
and in most people's increasingly busy and structured lives, they have
become even more important.
Maybe, just maybe, we began a relationship today.
