Sounds like an interesting business. Do people supply you with their stones and then you set them?

Re: Introduce Yourself Here - Don't Start a New Topic
Hi everyone,
I'm Eileen, a 27 yr. old WAHM to Alex (3yrs.) I'm a Stallholder for Barefoot Books. They are a really fun, unique children's book publisher. Barefoot celebrates art and story by creating books that draw from many of our world's diverse cultures and traditions. They are definitely off the beaten path and I've really enjoyed sharing these beautiful books with others!
I was a corporate trainer for a large insurance company before Alex was born but wouldn't go back to the 9-5 rat race for anything I love to travel, am an avid reader and aspiring novelist.
I look forward to "meeting" you all!

Re: Introduce Yourself Here - Don't Start a New Topic
Hi,
My name is Sue. My family consists of my husband and our new puppy (will be 4 months this Saturday) Buddy Max. We are avid animal lovers. Have always had at least 1 dog and most of the time 2. Unfortunately we recently lost our beautiful Cassidy a week before her 8th birthday, hence the new puppy. Cassidy's passing was very difficult since it was so unexpected and we were then for the first time in 18 years without an animal in our home. It was way too quiet and lonely for us so for the second time in our lives we have brought a Lab into our home.
My husband and I love restoring old cars, love to read and love old television shows and movies. We also love to play board games.
We have been running our own home based businesses for over 20 years and wouldn't have it any other way. Our motto is Who Makes It Happen, We Do!
My husband and I have been helping folks start successful home based businesses for over 20 years. We are investors, consultants, and coach/mentors. We also coach and consult in the area of creative real estate, specifically the niche of lease purchasing.
We have published numerous articles on lease purchasing and have five extraordinary manuals, considered to be the most complete in the industry. In addition, we have produced tapes sets on Lease Purchasing, Home-Based Businesses and our extraordinary Expert Tape Series.
We have written numerous articles on operating a home-based business, and have been written about in New Business Opportunities Magazine, Small Business Opportunities Magazine and Income Opportunities Magazine to mention a few.
I have done my Master's work in child development and has always been interested in the health and well being of our children and the importance of making it a family effort. We just recently published Keep Kids Fit: A How To Guide For Setting Up And Running Your Own Business In One Year Or Less!
Our next project is one that is very close to our hearts and involves our love for pets.
Looking forward to getting to know all of you,
Sue

Re: Introduce Yourself Here - Don't Start a New Topic
Hello everyone!
It's been awhile since I've been here (I don't think I've even been here since the new boards were put up!), so let me re-introduce myself.
I'm Kara, wahm of 2 little ones (2 1/2 yrs old and almost 5yrs old), and the owner of several wahm-related websites. They include Mom's Market, Mom's Ezine Directory, and the newest project - Direct Sales Success Kit. I'm happy to be back here, and look forward to seeing several familiar faces as well as some new ones.

Re: Introduce Yourself Here - Don't Start a New Topic
Hello Y'all
CT here, yes I am new and thank you for having me. I am a student trying getting a college degree.
I stumble over the idea of having my own business few years back when I lost my first career in my life, I was working for NCR. It is not about not having money in the bank. It is about a sense of self worth that is lost.
Got mad, got sad for a while, well a long while; and then pick myself up and start looking for any and every business idea I could find on TV, radio, mail, and internet.
I will tell you the rest of the story in another post.....
I am so glad to be here.

Re: Introduce Yourself Here - Don't Start a New Topic
Hi, I'm Denise Rich. I'm a stay-at-home mom of a 3-year old (Olivia) and a 9-month old (Zachery). I just finished my Bachelor's degree in December and just launched my own gift basket business. My husband is in the Air Force as a recruiter and we have 2 years left here in Baltimore, MD.
Hollyn, My great-grandfather used to work for Union Pacific Railroad. In December my grandmother passed away and we took a trip to Kansas for her funeral. We saw some of the old rail station there where he worked. It was really interesting.
Nola, you have a job I would LOVE to do, graphic designing! The only thing I could get at my school was DTP (desktop publishing). I took several courses and loved it. I'm hoping to land a job with that experience some day.
