Default My Little Battler

Haylee Lee-Anne 19/12/06
I knew from the beginning that my third pregnancy was different to the others. Please don't hate me for saying this but with my two boys I never had morning sickness, I felt alive and full of energy - so much so I would almost run up the stairs and you couldn't stop me from being active. Whilst the pregnancies were uneventful, the labor was long and hard for both boys.

With my daughter it was different right from the start. I was sick, tired and it took me a long time to feel connected with the life that was growing inside me. Her birth was something we all will never forget. One month before her due date, I started getting pains and throwing up again. I wasn't aware of it but I had started going into labor! Within 15 minutes my baby, Haylee was born on the couch - my husband caught her as she 'popped' out and my eldest son held my hand the whole way through. The cord was wrapped around her neck and she was small and a strange colour. We managed to get the cord off and get her to breath just minutes before the ambulance arrived. It was the best and worst experience of my life. We both spent the next month in hospital under the pead's care.
