This one will have two types of prizes:

1. What has been the best life lesson that you have learned in the past year?
Not to give up. That a takes at least 2 years to build your business. Keep going and never give up!


2. What has been the best tip you have learned AND utilizied for your home business this past year?
The best tip I learned was to keep things organized and good record keeping. I keep all my papers regardless of whether I think I might need it or not. You just never know when you might need it.

1. What has been the best life lesson that you have learned in the past year?
Not to take things for granted, and to be patient. I won't elaborate on either, as it is personal, but I have found that enjoying the moment with those that you love most is the best thing you can do. I am also learning patience. I am a "jump on it' person, and am learning that waiting has its benefits. For me, waiting has become a trial of necessity. If I can wait for 30 days and I still think it is necessary, I take another look. Otherwise, I am glad I did not invest time or money into something I did not need.

2. What has been the best tip you have learned AND utilizied for your home business this past year?
Organizing!! I have a simple index box file for contacts. When I talk to the person, I put their index cards into the space for the next contact. 30 days, 3 months, 1 year, or arouond a certain date (ie. Christmas or birthdays). I can carry this around with me if I make calls from the patio, or Starbuck's .

1. I have learned never to put all my eggs in one basket. I signed up as an employee for a company with a non-compete clause. I gave up my 2 other positions to work only for that company in that field of work. The company was stable, but a year later they were bought out and the new company decided to send the work overseas. It was like starting all over again when I thought I was set at least for a while. Plus I had just had a new baby. I will never do that again.

2. The best tip I have learned and utilized is to be flexible but at the same time try to have one main area of focus. In the past I had worked with many clients and realized I giving less and less of myself. I was giving 20% here, 15% there, 30% there etc. No one was really getting the full potential of the quality of my work since I was spreading myself so thin and trying to please everyone. I was working way too much with little to show for it. Now I still work for more than one company but I try to focus mainly on 2 of them. One is doing calls so I can only work while my spouse is here. The other is coding and that allows me to work with children in the room. The coding will also come in very handy when my spouse goes into the hospital for his transplant.

1. Life is short, and things can happen when you least expect them to. You cannot predict what is going to happen tomorrow. You cannot predict what will happen 1 hour from now, or even one minute from now. Appreciate each moment you have with the ones you love.
2. Patience. There is no get rich quick program that really works. Unless of course you are already rich enough to invest lots of money into a company nd even then there is no guarantee. Don't try to rush it, work it as it comes. Put what you can into it when you can, consistently. And stay dedicated. Eventually it will pay off in the end.
