Remember you are mom
We are all working from home so that we can be mom. Don't feel guilty for taking a day off and spending it with the kids instead of at the computer.

Re: Remember you are mom
This is right, even when we are working at home we need to take breaks really often and play a quick game, read a book, or do something with the kids.

Re: Remember you are mom
I am so glad to hear another mom say that, just recently I was well to put it nicely told I shouldn't take time off from my businesses to be with my kids. I mean most of us want to work from home not just to make money but to be home for our kids when they need us.
I know for me I make sure all my business is done, and my clients know that I will be offline for a day to take the kids to the zoo or I will contact them within 24 hours etc.
It pains me to hear moms working so hard and not enjoying the freedom they do have working from home by not spending it with their kids.
Thanks for the gentle reminder

Re: Remember you are mom
I try to involve my little girl in my business. I can get some work done and she is having fun with me. Tonight we are going through candle tins and smelling the scents together. I ask her for opinions and it makes her feel good.
And with Stuff A Friend she is like a kid in the toy store...we both are really.

Re: Remember you are mom
I agree. I do feel guilty being on the computer so much. Even though I work from home I get the feeling my kids were being under-stimulated. I try to only work when my kids are napping or in bed for the night. It makes me a much happier Mommy that way.

Re: Remember you are mom
I'm so glad to hear you all have the same exact concerns as me. I did finally take off from the computer yesterday and took my kids swimming.
I feel guilty being on the computer all the time too so I'm working on developing a better schedule for my time and their time. They definitely need structure otherwise they go mad and so do I--then, nothing really gets done.
No, I am not super mom, but I want to succeed and I do it for our kids. So, I'll get whatever is most important off of my to do list and hopefully that will make me feel productive enough to stop what I'm doing and go squirt the kids with the hose.
Enjoy, they're only little for so long. Next thing you know my 6 year old will be doing everything she can NOT to be near me.
