Default Home Office in the Family Room

When we first moved to our house 10 years ago, I claimed one of the bedrooms as my home office but then discovered I was pregant with twins!
3 bedroom house and already had 2 boys...so the home office was immediately converted into another bedroom.

I have tried putting my home office in the basement (unfinished) and also our bedroom so that I could shut the door but since I have little ones around all the time it was tough.

I have found that the best spot for me is in our family room which is centered in the middle of the house. I can hear and see the kids if they are around.

I do mainly work on my home business when the kids are at school (the twins are in third grade) but for the first few years I not only had the babies but I homeschooled the older boys.

These days I don't have to worry about the interruptions but my home office remains in the family room. I have a large desk and comfy chair now and they won't fit in any other room!

Warmly,
Angela
