Default Heike's office :)

My office is in our converted garage.

It has blue walls (for the mermaid in me), one bubble gum pink wall (for the grrrl in me), sage colored trim, closet doors, and built in shelves for my gazillion books (which are double stacked). My desk is a combination of 3 desks and a door that serves as a top, I need SPACE! Two computers, a laptop, one big futon and one leather chair for my "visitors", and a rug for my old dog.

This weekend is my "makeover" weekend. I have decided it is again time to tackle the piles of paper, photos, designs, etc. and get organized. I want to put another (!) table in here where I can make my pendants and leave my things out. Our dining room table needs one responsibility less ....

I will post pictures when I am done..
Greetings,
Heike

Yes, maybe now that I posted that it will actually happen . I am inspired by Kay's very well organized office.

Now I just have to figure out how to add those pics.

Greetings
Heike

Heike,

Your office sounds FUN! :-)

I just spent some time over the last week organizing and cleaning up my office. I got rid of a lot of the "STUFF" sitting on the shelves - kept a few things, but cleared out a lot. Went through all the paper stuff and still have too much, but it's a necessary evil. My office always feels cluttered to me and yet I am pretty organized.

Went and got new curtains and rods - sweet hubby will put those up for me this weekend I hope. Then the next step is to paint the walls and then finally wood floors. Won't get those for a while though for various reasons.

My hutch area has all my "fun" stuff...My Jeff Gordon stuff, a cute picture my hubby made for me and two cloth dolls that I love. The MisFit Doll from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and my Children of the Inner Light Doll - I didn't play with dolls a lot as a child but the ones I did play with were always the cloth dolls. These two were given to me as an adult but I love them. My hubby gave me the MisFit Doll because I shared that as a child I never understood WHY a girl wouldn't want that doll -she was cute. He found it when all the Rudolph stuff was first coming out and I didn't know about it. I cried when I opened that package - it was my least expensive gift, but the fact he remembered what I said - well, he gained a lot of points that day. The other one - I just love it's simplicity and meaning.

So I love rag dolls - and NASCAR - and Bumblebees - what does everyone else collect to look at in their offices?
