Default cel phones (Personal)

If you are like me and have a cel phone for personal use that you rarely use and only keep for emergency then you should check into a pre-paid one.

I have Virgin Moblie and only spend $80 a year, sometimes less when the top up cards are on sale. You have to top-up every 90 days at least $20 and I hardly ever use all the $20 within those 3 months, but they roll over when you don't use them so If I am out of town and have a busy cel phone month I still hardly ever go over that $20 because for instance I had money left last time and still have $40 credit.

The plan I have calls are .25 a minute and then .10 a minute if you talk more than 10 minutes that day. That only equals to about 26 minutes a month at .25 a minute, but I was even using my cheapest cingiliar plan at $20.00 a month I was only using about 20 minutes a month. Check your past phone bills and see if it will be worth it for you to switch to a pre-paid plan.

You do have to buy a phone too, but they start out at less than $30.00 for a basic model.

Default Re: cel phones (Personal)

...ooops I just checked their website and it looks like they have more options now, but the calls are .18 a minute instead of .25 and that rate on that plan is for all calls less than 10 minutes and over 10 minutes so no more .10 and .25, I guess it works for me
