Saturday October 23rd is Make A Difference Day. Through small acts of charity, we can all make a difference a step at a time. This year, I have decided to donate part of my commission for all purchases made until October 23rd to an incredible non-profit group, Marine Comfort Quilts.
www.marinecomfortquilts.us Marine Comfort Quilt Group is a not for profit ministry whose objective is to provide a memorial quilt of comfort to the next of kin of for all fallen member of the Armed Forces during Operation Iraqi Freedom. The quilts are made from thirty quilt squares. Each square delivers a message of love and comfort to those families so they know that their soldier is not forgotten. These quilts are stitches of love from those who want so badly to bring comfort, but don't know how to help. Though we may all have differing political views-the lives of these families are important and without politics.
I am donating 5% of my commission for all purchases made through October 23rd to this group so they may have the funds they so greatly need to continue their heart felt work. Unfortunately, there are a lot of squares and quilts to be made. I may not be able to sew-but I too can do something to Make a Difference. Look at my website,
www.southernlivingathome.com/ctaylor . Click on the Our Products button, enter my name, Taylor, as the hostess and enter your order. You may be able to Christmas shop and do a good deed as well. This is not a Southern Living at Home event – but is done personally through me. If you choose to do a party- I will donate 10% of your retail sales and you can still receive all the hostess benefits. Just contact me and I will send you a catalog to go packet. Take a small step and Make a Difference Today.
